In order to assist our clients in positioning themselves strongly in their respective markets, theGreenTeam, Inc. has determined that a proactive approach is necessary; and actively participates in a wide range of Standards Development Organizations and Professional/Trade Organizations.
Standards Development Organizations and Professional/Trade Organizations present a significant potential to impact: policy making, budgetary considerations, and strategic environmental planning regarding facility design, operation, and management.
Currently, our affiliations include:
» Alliance for Water Efficiency
theGreenTeam Inc. is an active stakeholder working to improve water efficiency and conservation in North America. Mr. Reisdorph is a member of the ACLCA. He is one of the first Life Cycle Assessment Certified Professionals (LCACP). Principals of theGreenTeam are licensed architects and AIA members, represented on the AIA Committee on the Environment. Ms. Meadows and Mr. Bell provided peer review for the technical sections of the AIA Environmental Resource Guide. In 2008, Ms. Meadows received the Award of Merit (Fellow). She is the current chair for the newly formed ASTM International Committee on Sustainability, which theGreenTeam was instrumental in establishing. Ms. Meadows chaired the ASTM Subcommittee on Sustainability for the Building Industry from its inception in 1998 until 2008. She is also past chair for the Subcommittee on Green Buildings (1994-1997). Ms. Meadows is a Certified Construction Specifier; in 2008, she was awarded the title of Fellow (FCSI). She served on the Institute's Ad Hoc Environmental Issues Committee and is an honorary member of the Los Angeles Chapter Environmental Affairs Committee. Ms. Meadows chairs the Institute's Environmental Task Team (2001-2004). Ms. Meadows is an associate member of the ELI. Mr. Bell is a citizen member of the EPA Region 6 Environmental Roundtable. Ms. Meadows is a member of the ANSI-GBI Standards Development Committee and training through the inaugural program to become a Green Globes Verifier. Mr. Reisdorph represents theGreenTeam in H2E. Mr. Bell represents theGreenTeam on the US Tag to ISO 207 (the Committee responsible for the 14000 series standards). Ms. Meadows was the American Delegate for the ISO Ad Hoc Committee on Sustainable Building and the Secretary for the committee on Sustainability. Ms. Meadows chairs the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to the ISO committee on Sustainability in Building. Principals of theGreenTeam are certified by NCARB. Mr. Bell and Ms. Meadows serve on the Advisory Board for OSU-EI. Mr. Reisdorph is a member of SES-OSU. Mr. Bell is a LEED Accredited Professional, one of the first to achieve this recognition. Ms. Meadows served on the Board of USGBC for three years; and served as the Vice Chair of USGBC's LEED Rating System Steering Committee for three years. |
